Our operations are based on hands-on, practical work and innovative,
technological solutions. Our employees endure harsh weather and many
natural challenges in order to produce quality salmon and trout.
We
have experienced that clever solutions based on practical experience
form the basis for an effective production of quality salmon. Plans are
underway to set up a development group where our employees can share
such innovation across our Grieg Seafood hubs.
Our operating
managers are employed based largely on their leadership skills and
their extensive experience in fish farming, as well as their ability to
implement clever solutions which increase the efficiency of our Grieg
Seafood fish farming sites. For example, our gutting station F-480 in
Finnmark recently modified their traditional sorting machinery with a
new control system, which improved the sorting capacity of our that
facility considerably; our Finnmark site currently has an annual
production of 28.000 tons gutted weight.
Focusing not only on
our responsibility for a sustainable production, we are also committed
to our employees and the small communities we operate in. Grieg Seafood
is a major employer in our regions, and we recruit hard working locals
with good knowledge of fish and the sea.
