The Navigation Protection Program (NPP) at Transport Canada (TC) is currently in the process of reviewing this submission for aquaculture facilities. The NPP is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Navigation Protection Act (NPA). The NPA authorizes and regulates interferences with the public right of navigation. An assessment of the impacts to navigation must be completed before an authorization can be granted under the NPA. Any identified impacts to navigation will be mitigated through terms and conditions, and compliance activities.
